Realize true welfare that aims for the well-being and affluence of all citizens.
Numata BASE LLC (located in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture; CEO: Michio Imai; hereinafter referred to as Numata BASE), a social business company that aims to solve social issues, is participating in the “April Dream April 1st is Dream Day. April 1st is Dream Day. This press release is for April Dream, the name of the company/organization. We declare that we will break away from providing welfare services to a specific group of people, such as the elderly, the disabled, and children, and embody the original concept of welfare, which is to “realize the happiness and affluence of all citizens of society in general.

April Dream” is a project by PR TIMES to communicate not just funny stories, but actual dreams that companies want to come true on April 1st.

With the recent arrival of the 100-year life span era, medical care and welfare for the elderly have become a major issue. This is why Numata BASE (https://numatabase.com) is working to eliminate barriers such as age, gender, nationality, disability, hobbies and interests, and LGBT as part of our mission to eliminate the “difficulty of living” for all people.
As a first step, we have started our activities in the field of disability welfare, aiming to realize a society where people are not denied the individuality they were born with.

In participating in the “April Dream” project, I once again wondered what we should do and what the future holds for us. And then we came up with an answer. We came up with an answer. I believe it is “to realize welfare in the true sense of the word.

What kind of image do you have when you hear the word “welfare”?

Elderly? Disabled? Children? I’m sure you’ve imagined many different answers. However, “welfare” and “the concept of realizing a minimum level of well-being and affluence for all citizens” does not belong to anyone in particular.

If you see someone in need, reach out to them. Don’t pretend to be invisible. Don’t make fun of people who are working hard.

We call ourselves “social innovators” in order to realize a society where we can “make the obvious” the norm, and we will work to implement our ideas widely in society.

That is why we propose to break away from the welfare service business for someone in particular and aim for “welfare” in the true sense of the word, which solves social issues in general.

Numata BASE is currently working daily to commercialize “the world’s most sustainable brand of oysters,” which will solve three social issues by combining them in a complex manner.

  • In the welfare of the handicapped, there have been calls for increased productivity and higher wages for many years, but the problem has not been solved.
  • The problem of disposing of wooden pallets is a source of concern for the transportation industry. The disposal of wooden pallets is the main problem of the transportation industry, which incurs huge costs and emits CO2.
  • In the fisheries industry, while global demand is growing, domestic demand, production, and the workforce are all declining.

It will be a win-win situation if we can bridge the mismatch between the current situation where there are people with disabilities who want to work but can’t, and the shortage of workers on the other hand. We can also solve the problems of transporters by using wooden pallets in the oyster farming business, which has been difficult to reduce costs due to its long history.

“That’s just a dream! It’s a dream!” “It’s not going to happen,” they said to me a year ago now, but I’ve steadily found a partner and am one step closer to making it a reality. My big lie of a year ago is about to become a reality. I would like to thank all of you who have supported me, and all of you who are involved in this project.
I look forward to your continued support.
